Travel to and from NBB in appropriate civilian attire. Travel in a CAP uniform is NOT authorized.

Early arrival is not permitted for first-time attendees.

Staff traveling with first-time attendees should arrive on Monday for in-processing.

Every participant must complete the Travel Form regardless of their mode of transportation.

Commercial Airline Information
ARRIVAL:

Book flights to Milwaukee (MKE), WI.
NBB Shuttle Times:

14:00 First bus departs MKE

18:00 Second bus departs MKE

Make sure your flight arrives AT LEAST one hour PRIOR to the last shuttle departure time of 1800.

We consider minor delays and give you time to get your luggage.

NBB Staff will be at baggage claim to greet you

We have a van that is last to leave the airport in the event there are weather delays. If you miss the bus/van, call 913-208-7282 to make arrangements. You may be held responsible for the cost of transportation if you miss the shuttle.
We will be tracking weather and flight delays. However, if you know of any flight delays, contact us as soon as possible at 913-208-7282. We will still provide transportation from MKE when delays are beyond your control.
DEPARTURE:
All shuttles leave the NBB Compound at 06:00 on 31 Jul 2023.
Book all departure flights after 09:00 on 31 Jul 2023. It's about a two-hour drive with morning traffic and a TSA security check to go through, allow plenty of time.

IMPORTANT NOTES

There are two stops in Oshkosh. Make sure you get off at the Downtown Transit Center

The only other stop is on a street corner at the University of Wisconsin. It is just a street corner, with no phones, no businesses, and no bathrooms, just a street corner. Be sure to get off at the correct stop.

If you are coming from the east coast, or from a long distance, MAKE SURE you ARRIVE on the correct day.

COV Travelers
Navigate to 1018 CAP Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54902 When you arrive at GATE 37 at Wittman Regional Airport, wait in the circle parking area and call 913-208-7282. Someone will be there to let you in. Please park inside the compound in the designated CAP van parking area.

Those traveling by POV and COV may have room in their vehicles for extra passengers. We will attempt to connect people who wish to ride-share through the use of the travel map. The map is updated frequently. Please let the travel coordinator know if you need to be added or find an error on the map by emailing travel@NBB.cap.gov

Note of Caution: The Downtown Train Station in Milwaukee is called MKE, just like the airport. Don't get confused and get off at the wrong stop. Be Prepared and be aware.

Train Station - Station Building (with waiting room)
This station is along the western edge of the General Mitchell International Airport. A free shuttle bus provides easy connections for rail passengers to the airport outside Baggage Claim Door 4.
The shuttle times aren’t posted on the website. You'll have to call Amtak for more information. If the times for the shuttle aren't helpful, call 913-208-7282 to coordinate assistance.
