This is a USAF Mission.
NBB is one of several mission bases for the AirVenture Search and Rescue Mission that is assigned to the Wisconsin Wing by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center. Each flight will be signed into the mission throughout the operational portion of the activity..
All ES qualifications listed below
are required to participate in this mission.
REQUIRED for participation:
THE FOLLOWING MUST BE COMPLETED NLT 1 JUNE
It is NOT an option to complete the above training during NBB.
During the activity, you will get credit for all tasks for UDF, MRO and all the tasks for FLM EXCEPT First Aid.
NOTE:
First Aid IS NOT offered at NBB.
Although First Aid certification is not required to attend NBB, it is required to complete Flight Line Marshaller qualification. You will need to obtain First Aid on your own.

National Blue Beret is a Civil Air Patrol National Cadet Special Activities (NCSA) held for two weeks in the July-August timeframe located at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in support of the EAA AirVenture fly-In. During the event, Wittman Field is temporarily the busiest civilian airport in the world with over 20,000 aircraft and 500,000 people attending annually.
